Privacy Policy

The short version

lab.bycracus does not collect, store, or share your personal data. There is no backend server we operate, no account system, no analytics, no tracking cookies. Everything you do on the site stays in your browser.

1. What we don't collect

We do not collect or store:

  • Names, emails, or contact details.
  • Account credentials (there are no accounts).
  • The simulations you run or the choices you make.
  • Images you load into Photo Sort or any other simulation. These stay on your device.
  • The clips you record. They are downloaded directly to your device, never uploaded.
  • Analytics, pixel trackers, or behavioural cookies.

2. What is technically processed

Like every website, lab.bycracus is delivered over the internet by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider's servers can see your IP address and the resource you requested in their standard request logs. We do not access, aggregate, or use those logs.

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may log your IP address as part of that delivery. We have no view into those logs. If this concerns you, install a tracker-blocking extension — the site falls back to system fonts and still works.

3. Local storage

The site may save a few small preferences (e.g. your chosen colour palette) to your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device, is not shared with anyone, and you can clear it from your browser settings at any time.

4. Image uploads

If you upload an image to Photo Sort or any future simulation that supports it, the image is decoded in your browser using the standard File API and rendered to a local canvas. It is not uploaded to a server. When you close the tab or navigate away, the image is gone. We never see it.

5. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, but the lack of any data collection makes this moot.

6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / etc.)

Because we do not store personal data, there is nothing to request, correct, or delete. If a future change to the site adds any data collection, this page will be updated before that change goes live.

7. Changes

This policy may change as the site evolves. The "last updated" date at the top of the page is authoritative.
